Preventive work on Nizhny Novgorod TV has been postponed due to the 2026 World Cup.

      July 17, 2026 19:00 Society Planned preventive maintenance work at the radio and television stations of the Nizhny Novgorod region has been postponed from July 20 to July 21. This was reported by the Nizhny Novgorod RTRS Radio and Television Center. This decision was made so that football fans could fully watch the final match of the World Cup. The final of the 2026 World Cup (6+) will start on July 19 at 22:00 Moscow time and may be extended due to extra time, finishing late at night on July 20. After the changes, the work will take place on July 21 from 01:00 to 10:00 Moscow time at the RTS "Nizhny Novgorod," "Arzamas," "Sarov," and "Vyksa." During this period, there may be brief interruptions in the broadcasting of 20 television and three radio channels of digital terrestrial television included in the RTRS-1 and RTRS-2 packages. In addition, some FM radio stations and analog television channels may be temporarily unavailable. The date and time of the work have been agreed upon with the broadcasters. If the reception of channels does not automatically restore after the maintenance is completed, residents are advised to restart their television or set-top box and then perform a channel search again. This will help eliminate possible software failures and restore signal reception.
