The Koverninsky district has increased the payment to participants of the special military operation to 500,000 rubles.

      On July 16, 2026, at 09:38, the Administration of the Koverninsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region increased the amount of the one-time payment to citizens who have signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to participate in the Special Military Operation (SMO). The corresponding decree was published on the administration's website.

      Starting from August 1, the amount will increase from 300,000 to 500,000 rubles.

      It is worth noting that in June, the one-time payment for citizens who signed a military service contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was increased to 3.2 million rubles. Of this, 2.8 million rubles are regional and municipal payments, as well as 400,000 rubles from the Ministry of Defense of Russia. At the same time, regional support measures apply to foreigners who signed a contract after June 15.
