A spiritual and educational center will be established in Sarov.

      On July 15, 2026, at 12:03, Society In Sarov, a spiritual and educational center will be built. The new facility will become part of the development of the pilgrimage and tourist cluster "Arzamas - Diveevo - Sarov."

      The center is planned to be located on the territory of the Holy Assumption Male Monastery, known as the Sarov Desert, at 44 Mira Avenue. The project provides for the creation of a modern complex for pilgrims and tourists with the necessary engineering and transport infrastructure.

      In July 2026, the project documentation received a positive conclusion from the State Expertise Administration of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      As noted by the Main State Expertise of Russia, the status of the Sarov Monastery as a cultural heritage site of federal significance imposes special requirements for design and construction work.

      The development of the Sarov-Diveevo cluster, including the restoration of architectural monuments and the construction of new facilities, is being carried out with the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin and with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill. The project includes a total of 183 activities, of which 123 have already been completed, and another 32 are in the implementation stage.

      Let us remind you that in the spring, a meeting of the board of trustees for the revival of the Sarov and Diveevo monasteries was held in Moscow, chaired by the first deputy head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kiriyenko.
