      House No. 5 on Shevchenko Street in Nizhny Novgorod has found a new owner. This was reported by the ANO "ASIRIS" on July 13, 2026. The building does not have the status of a cultural heritage site, but it is historically valuable as an urban-forming object and is located within the boundaries of the protective zone of the cultural heritage site "The Wing of the Merchant I.G. Saichev" from 1913 (Shevchenko Street, 7a). The two-story wooden house is located next to the IT campus of the "NEIMARK" university. Three potential investors participated in the auction. As a result, the building with an area of 147.4 square meters was purchased by LLC "Specialized Developer 'NNDK'" for a price that exceeded the starting bid by more than two times — for 16.3 million rubles (starting price — 7.2 million). The company has a license for the preservation of cultural heritage sites. In Nizhny Novgorod, it is known, in particular, for the restoration of the regional cultural heritage site "The Estate of A.N. Sedov" (Slavyanskaya Street, 6/49). The work was carried out under an agreement with the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region: at that time, for the restoration of the monument, the investor received a land plot for residential construction. The head of "NNDK" Mikhail Ivanov stated that the company plans to integrate the revitalization of the house into the overall development concept of the area, which has already been approved by the regional leadership. The house at Shevchenko Street, 5 will become part of a large comprehensive project involving new construction and the restoration of cultural heritage sites.

      Previously, the company purchased a regional cultural heritage site on Shevchenko Street from the owner. It is currently in very poor condition, but "NNDK" has almost completed the work on its restoration project.
