A 19-year-old woman from Nizhny Novgorod died after cardiac arrest in Egypt.

      On July 6, 2026, at 15:29, Incidents: 19-year-old student of the Nizhny Novgorod State University Institute of Economics, Regina Shutenko, passed away after a sudden deterioration in her condition while vacationing in Egypt. This was reported by the editor-in-chief of the medical publication "Stacionar-Press," Alexey Nikonov, on his Max channel. "We believed until the end and tried to help her, but the illness progressed rapidly," he wrote. Nikonov thanked everyone who responded and participated in fundraising for her medical evacuation to Russia.

      Recall that Regina Shutenko left for vacation on June 18. By June 27, her condition had sharply worsened—she suffered cardiac arrest. The girl was urgently hospitalized in one of the Egyptian hospitals. She was in a deep coma and was connected to a ventilator.
