      July 6, 2026 14:30 Economy The electrometallurgical complex "Ekolant" in Vyksa is planned to be opened in November 2026, reports RIA Novosti. A special investment contract for the construction of the complex was signed in June 2021. It is designed for 20 years. Under the terms of the agreement, LLC "Ekolant" is implementing a large project using modern technologies. In return, the company receives tax benefits on profit tax and property tax for organizations, as well as guarantees of stable working conditions. Initially, the completion of construction was expected in 2025. At that time, the investment in the "Ekolant" complex was estimated at about 150 billion rubles. The project will enable the production of electric steel with a low carbon footprint. This metal is planned to be used to produce high-end products for the fuel and energy complex, the transport sector, and machine engineering.
