The projects of the First in the Nizhny Novgorod region received federal support amounting to over 11 million rubles.

On July 6, 2026, at 14:55, the Society of the Movement of the Firsts summarized the results of the third season of the competition for the best projects for children and youth "Competition of Primary Departments. Movement of the Firsts" for 2025-2026. From the Nizhny Novgorod region, 541 teams participated in the competition, with 52 "primaries" becoming winners and prizewinners in the nominations "League of Opportunities" and "First League." Among the winners are teams from schools, colleges, technical schools, additional education institutions, culture and sports organizations, children's creativity houses, and kindergartens from the Gorodetsky, Koverninsky, Urensky, Bolshie Boldinsky, Sharangsky, Volodarsky, Perevozsky, Semyonovsky, Sokolyovsky, Sergaichsky, Pochinkovsky, Vadskiy, Vetluzhsky, Lyskovo, Pavlovsky, Krasnobakovsky, Bogorodsky districts, as well as from Bor, Dzerzhinsk, Kulebaki, Shakhunya, Arzamas, Pervomaisk, and Nizhny Novgorod. The leaders won 1 million rubles, while the other winners and prizewinners received between 200,000 and 500,000 rubles. In total, the region received financial support amounting to 11,700,000 rubles. These funds can be used by the teams to improve the infrastructure of their primary department, purchase equipment, organize thematic events, and implement their own projects. "The region undoubtedly creates all conditions and platforms for the development of youth initiatives, but the true driving force of the Movement is the ideas of the activists themselves. It is nice to see when the guys do not wait for ready-made solutions but create a space for growth with their own hands, ideas, and perseverance. It is their persistence and creative approach that turn ideas into projects, and projects into the success story of the region," noted Lev Skitnevsky, Deputy Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The Movement of the Firsts, thanks to the competition, makes a significant contribution to the development of regions: the initiatives of participants improve life in small towns and villages, strengthen the social environment, and support those who are particularly in need. "The competition for primary departments is, first of all, an opportunity to strengthen the primary team, develop common approaches to solving competition tasks, an opportunity to unite and even find joint solutions through practical and creative work. The new season, which we are looking forward to, will surely open new opportunities for our primary departments, and we will try to find fresh tools for regional support for the guys who already have team experience in achieving good results," said Vyacheslav Amosov, Chairman of the Council of the Regional Department of the Movement of the Firsts in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The competition not only supports projects but also fosters an active civic position among participants. Within the framework of tasks such as "Code of Unity," dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, teams implemented 9,545 educational events across the country, dedicated to the history and unifying role of the Russian language. This contributes not only to the development of cultural identity but also to strengthening mutual understanding among various peoples of Russia.
