Currently, in the regional capital, swimming is only allowed in three lakes: on the Sorting Lake on Arkhangelskaya Street and in the Birch Grove in the Kanavinsky District, in the second stage of the PKiO on Smirnov Street and Molodezhny Avenue, as well as on both beaches of the Silicate Lake in the Lenin District. In the cities of the region, the beaches on Lake Yurasovskoye in Bor, "At the Steep Mountain" in Bogorodsk, the pond "408 km" and the Tesh River in Arzamas, the Belaya River in Gorodets, as well as all three beaches on the Upper Pond in Vyksa have been recognized as suitable.
