City guards also work on the Fedorovskaya embankment - from the Azimut hotel to the church in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, on the Upper Volga embankment - from the monument to Chkalov to the Ferris wheel, and in the area of Strelka - from the Marins hotel to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. In addition to patrolling, they conduct free walks (0+) for residents and tourists. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 587 such meetings attended by 5,233 people. During their duties, city guards respond to emergency situations and call emergency services if necessary. They also monitor the condition of the urban environment and report identified violations to the relevant authorities. Furthermore, since the beginning of the year, city guards have sent 1,661 reports of violations at the city's infrastructure facilities. It is worth noting that the "New City Guard" project, launched with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod administration, aims to revive the institution of city guards in a modern format. It involves city residents with an active civic position who monitor safety, the condition of the urban environment, and the image of Nizhny Novgorod.
