Nizhny Novgorod city guards work on five tourist routes.

In addition to patrolling, they conduct free walks (0+) for residents and tourists. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 587 such meetings attended by 5,233 people. During their duties, city guards respond to emergency situations and call emergency services if necessary. They also monitor the condition of the urban environment and report identified violations to the relevant authorities. Furthermore, since the beginning of the year, city guards have sent 1,661 reports of violations at the city's infrastructure facilities. It is worth noting that the "New City Guard" project, launched with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod administration, aims to revive the institution of city guards in a modern format. It involves city residents with an active civic position who monitor safety, the condition of the urban environment, and the image of Nizhny Novgorod.
