Traffic near Theater Square will be restricted due to the "Gorky Fest."

      On July 3, 2026, at 13:06 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, traffic will be temporarily suspended near Theater Square. This was reported by the press service of the city administration. Restrictions will be in effect from 00:01 to 23:59 on July 3 and 9, 2026. Access will be closed on the section from house No. 4 on Theater Square to house No. 11 on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street. The measures are related to the holding of the anniversary X festival of new Russian cinema "Gorky Fest" (18+). Today, July 3, the festival will open in the city. Traditionally, the event will begin with a red carpet at the Drama Theater. Drivers are asked to remove their vehicles from the restricted area in advance. Cars left in the closed section will be forcibly relocated. Motorists are also advised to familiarize themselves with the traffic scheme in advance, comply with road signs, and be attentive. "Gorky Fest" will last until July 10. The festival's competitive program includes 18 films. The organizers have also prepared a large non-competitive program, which, in addition to film screenings, includes exhibitions, master classes, and meetings with representatives of the film industry.
