Two women from Nizhny Novgorod were sent to a colony for attempting to sell drugs.

      On July 3, 2026, at 13:55, Incidents In Nizhny Novgorod, two girls were convicted for attempting to sell drugs on a large scale. This was reported by the press service of the regional court. In the fall of 2025, an unknown person contacted them via the internet and offered them to distribute drugs. They agreed, took a batch from a hideout, packaged it, and began making drops in the territory of the Lenin district. They did not manage to carry out their plan to the end - they were detained by law enforcement officers. According to the Investigative Committee, the defendants are 16 and 18 years old. The court found the girls guilty under the article on attempted drug trafficking using information and telecommunications networks. At the same time, the charge of committing the crime "by an organized group" was excluded. The defendants partially admitted their guilt. The minor was sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment in a juvenile correctional facility. The second convicted person will spend 5.5 years in a general regime correctional facility.
