The Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve and the Central Scientific Museum signed an agreement.
The Nizhny Novgorod State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Testing and the Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve have signed a cooperation agreement. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The document was signed by the director of the "Nizhny Novgorod CSM," Alexey Eisenberg, and the general director of the Nizhny Novgorod State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, Yuri Filippov. The partnership aims to develop the Metrological Educational Cluster of Rosstandart in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, career guidance for schoolchildren and students, as well as the popularization of exact sciences. Starting from the new academic year, the parties plan to launch joint educational programs. These include excursions, lectures for students, and the development of interactive museum quests based on the Technical Museum, a branch of the Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve. Special attention will be paid to interactive formats that introduce young people to the history of measurements and the tasks that metrology engineers solve at high-tech enterprises in the region. The impetus for cooperation was the exhibition "Nizhny Novgorod CSM: 125 Years of Measuring Life for the Better!" opened in December 2025 at the Technical Museum in honor of the anniversary of the Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Testing. The exhibition showcased measuring instruments from different eras—from commercial and household scales to complex laboratory devices—as well as archival photographs and newspaper publications from the early 20th century reflecting the establishment of the Nizhny Novgorod metrological school.
