The state contract for the design of the gymnastics center in Nizhny Novgorod has been terminated.

      The state contract with LLC "ASGARD" for the execution of design and survey works for the construction of a rhythmic gymnastics center in Nizhny Novgorod has been terminated. This was reported by the NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" to the regional Ministry of Sports. The decision was made by mutual agreement of the parties. As clarified by the agency, payment under the contract was not made. Despite the termination of the contract, the region remains interested in the implementation of the project.

      "Currently, a new technical assignment for construction has been prepared, which includes the construction of a hotel. Funding sources are being worked out," the agency reported.

      Recall that the contractor for the design and survey works was selected at the end of 2024 - it became the company "Asgard." At that time, it was reported that the center is planned to be built at Vaneeva Street, 110B, near the Olympic reserve school named after V.S. Tishin. The area of the site is 1.7 hectares. The project provides for the construction of a sports complex with variable number of floors from one to six. The building will house a gym and an administrative and household block. The total area of the facility will be 16,400 square meters. The stands will be designed for 1,500 spectators: one stationary for 700 seats and two removable for 400 seats each.

      Additionally, in February 2026, it became known that a non-governmental expert examination approved the project for the construction of the sports facility at the specified address. The project documentation and the results of engineering surveys were prepared by the Nizhny Novgorod LLC "NTP 'Aquilone'," and the developer is LLC "Laboratory of Childhood." In May, it became known that the Ministry of Construction issued the company a construction permit; however, the address of the sports facility was not specified in the document.
