According to available information, the accident occurred on June 1 around six in the evening. The recording shows a girl walking hand in hand with her father, then suddenly breaking free and running onto the roadway. As a result of the accident, the child was injured and hospitalized.

      The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported that the circumstances of the accident are currently being established. According to preliminary information, a 29-year-old woman driving a Volkswagen Touareg was traveling from the city center towards Leskhoz Street. While passing a pedestrian crossing, the driver did not ensure the safety of the maneuver and hit a five-year-old girl who was crossing the roadway at the crosswalk. An administrative investigation is being conducted against the driver under Article 12.18 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation - "Failure to give way to pedestrians or other road users." The incident is actively discussed in city public groups on "VKontakte." Local residents note that the driver's view was partially obstructed by a car parked at the exit, which is why the child was not visible in advance. According to them, traffic rule violations in this area occur regularly and "something like this should have happened a long time ago."
