Nizhny Novgorod residents will be able to track court documents through "Gosuslugi".

On June 2, 2026, at 12:28, Society In Russia, the process of transferring court correspondence to electronic format has begun, allowing citizens to receive notifications about court proceedings through their personal account on the "Gosuslugi" portal. As of June 1, 2026, this function has become mandatory for all magistrate courts, as well as courts of general jurisdiction and arbitration courts. The transition to electronic court proceedings is aimed at simplifying and speeding up the process of obtaining information about court cases, emphasized lawyer Alihan Dadaev in a conversation with 360.ru. Citizens will be able to quickly learn about being summoned as a defendant or third party, as well as receive notifications about court orders. This is especially important in cases where court proceedings begin without prior notification, which can lead to problems with proving payment of debts.

To receive notifications about court cases, several simple steps must be followed:

      1. Log into your personal account on the "Gosuslugi" portal.

      2. Open the settings for government mail.

      3. In the "Notifications" section, select the "Courts" option.

Notifications will be sent in the form of electronic registered letters, allowing for prompt receipt of information about court proceedings. If necessary, the receipt of notifications can be disabled. Magistrate judges consider cases that can be resolved in a simplified manner through the issuance of a court order. Such cases include:

      - Claims for consumer rights protection up to 50,000 rubles.

      - Small credit debts.

      - Utility debts.

The transition to electronic court proceedings has several advantages:

      - Convenience and promptness. Citizens will be able to receive notifications about court cases at any time and from anywhere.

      - Reduced queues. There is no need to personally visit the court to submit documents or receive notifications.

      - Transparency. All materials of court cases will be available in electronic form, simplifying the process of tracking and proving.

In the future, there are plans to expand the capabilities of electronic court proceedings, including the possibility of remote participation in court sessions. This will allow participants in the process to submit applications and connect to sessions online, which is especially convenient for those living in remote areas or unable to attend court in person. Although the possibility of online participation in courts is already provided for by law, it is not yet fully implemented. The Chairman of the Supreme Court has instructed to resolve this issue to ensure convenience and accessibility of online processes for all participants in court proceedings.
