A 19-year-old woman from Nizhny Novgorod has become the youngest debtor for alimony in the region.

This was reported by the head of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the region, Alexander Yudin, at a press conference in the Nizhny Novgorod Information Center, attended by a correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." A total of more than seven thousand residents of Nizhny Novgorod were added to the alimony debtor registry last year. 75% of them are men, and 25% are women. The chief bailiff of the region also admitted that alimony debtors have "gotten younger" — their average age is now 27-34 years. It is worth noting that in 2025, the agency collected two billion ten million rubles in alimony. In the first five months of 2026, about 570 million more. Currently, 1,223 people are wanted for non-payment of alimony in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Since the beginning of 2026, 188 debtors have been found and brought to administrative responsibility.
