On Children's Day, a career guidance festival took place in KUPNO.

      On June 2, 2026, at 14:31, Society In the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (KUPNO), a career orientation festival was held in honor of Children's Day. Young guests of the celebration were able to get acquainted with professions that are particularly in demand and important for the development of the region today. The event was organized by KUPNO and the Youth Career Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region with the support of the regional government. The Minister of Human Resources Policy of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Roman Markov, participated in the event.

      "Today, the Nizhny Novgorod Region, like many regions of the country, is facing a personnel shortage. Therefore, promoting socially significant and law enforcement professions among the younger generation becomes one of the key tasks. It is important for children to understand from an early age how in-demand and significant these professions are, to see people who serve daily, help citizens, and take on great responsibility. Such meetings not only broaden horizons but also help form a conscious attitude towards choosing a future profession. For the region, this is an investment in preparing the personnel potential, and for the kids, it is an opportunity to find a vocation they want to dedicate their lives to," noted Roman Markov.

      More than 200 children and their parents participated in the festival. Interactive platforms, master classes, and demonstration performances by representatives of various services and agencies were prepared for the guests. The children were able not only to learn more about the work of specialists responsible for the safety and well-being of citizens but also to communicate with them personally, ask questions about the profession and the specifics of service.

      Participants in the festival included employees from the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Patrol and Post Service Police Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, the Main Department of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Department of the Federal National Guard Service of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, the Canine Service Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Gorky Railway - a branch of JSC "Russian Railways", and the School of Safety "Stop Threat".

      Children showed particular interest in practical activities. Participants were able to try on uniforms from various agencies, sit behind the wheel of a service vehicle and special equipment, meet a service dog, and also receive memorable gifts with the symbols of the participating organizations. Creative master classes were organized as well: on decorating photo frames with air clay and painting badges.

      Conducting career orientation events for children and youth is part of a systematic effort to develop the personnel potential of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, enhance the prestige of in-demand professions, and foster interest in professional self-realization among the younger generation in their native region.
