A fountain as tall as a five-story building has erupted in the center of Nizhny Novgorod.

As a result, a powerful column of water rose above the roadway, which, according to eyewitnesses, reached the height of a five-story building. Footage from the scene was published by residents on social media. To eliminate the emergency situation, a team of specialists from JSC "OKO" was dispatched to the site. Currently, the leak has been localized. The resource supply organization reminded that from June 2 to June 6, planned hydraulic tests of the main heating networks of the Nagornaya heat power plant are taking place. The inspection covers pipelines on Belinsky, Gorky, Volodarsky, Zvezdinka, Kovalikhinskaya, Proviantskaya, Timiryazev, Bagramyan streets, as well as other areas of the city. During the tests, the temperature of the network water is reduced to 40 degrees. At the same time, water is supplied under increased pressure, which allows for the detection of defects in pipelines and compensators. Car owners are asked not to leave their vehicles near the manholes of distribution chambers and close to outdoor heating networks.
