A kindergarten worth 350 million rubles has opened in Gorodets.

      On June 2, 2026, at 15:20, Society In Gorodets, a kindergarten designed for 240 children has started operating. The facility was built under the "Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas" (CDRA) program.

      The opening ceremony was attended by Oleg Grigoriev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Alexander Mudrov, Head of the Gorodets Municipal District, and Vladimir Bespalov, a deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly.

      According to Oleg Grigoriev, about 350 million rubles from federal and regional budgets were allocated for the construction of the kindergarten under the CDRA program, as well as funds from the municipality and local enterprises. He noted that the implementation of the program in the region continues: this year, a record amount of 4.5 billion rubles has been allocated for it in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      "We have started building three schools and continue the implementation of comprehensive improvement in the Bolshie Boldino district," he noted.

      Additionally, the construction of preschool institutions contributes to achieving the goals of the national project "Family."

      The new kindergarten building is three stories high and equipped with an elevator. It is designed for 13 groups: four for children aged one and a half to three years and nine for children aged three to seven years.

      The institution is equipped with additional education classrooms - "Robotics and Multimedia Studio," "Observation of Living and Non-Living Nature and Agri-Class," "Letter-Eater" for reading instruction, as well as a design and mathematical development classroom. There are also speech therapist, defectologist, and psychologist offices with a sensory room, as well as sports and music halls. The territory includes a physical education area and 13 recreational zones.

      District Head Alexander Mudrov emphasized that the location for construction was chosen deliberately. The "Galanyno" microdistrict is actively developing, and many new housing units have appeared here in recent years, so the creation of social infrastructure is logical in this part of the city. The general plan includes the construction of a school, and the municipality is counting on support from regional and federal authorities to form a full-fledged educational cluster. Additionally, this year, the commissioning of a children's clinic is planned to make it comfortable for young families.

      Regional parliament deputy and member of the "United Russia" faction Vladimir Bespalov noted that the active construction in the microdistrict has led to the settlement of a large number of young families, and the lack of a kindergarten created serious inconveniences for them. According to him, since 2018, the district administration has been consistently working on solving this issue. He also added that the People's Program of "United Russia" pays special attention to the construction of social facilities and the comprehensive development of territories, and the result of this work is a modern kindergarten.

      The CDRA project in Gorodets has been implemented since 2013. During this time, the "Northern" House of Culture and the "Spartak" stadium have been overhauled, and a kindergarten and a multifunctional center, which will open soon, have been built.

      Nizhny Novgorod Region Minister of Education Mikhail Puchkov noted that the opening of the new kindergarten is a significant event for the region. According to him, the educational infrastructure in the region is actively developing, creating modern and comfortable conditions for children. The new kindergarten is equipped with a modern material and technical base and methodologies that will serve as the foundation for developmental activities and games.

      The national project "Family" has become the successor to the national projects "Demography" and "Culture." It aims at comprehensive support for families, expanding social assistance measures, creating conditions for active longevity, and ensuring accessible and quality medical care. It includes seven federal projects: "Family Support," "Family Values," "Culture for the Family," "Pushkin Card," "Older Generation," "Protection of Motherhood and Childhood," and "Large Families."
