      On May 21, 2026, at 14:46, Economy: Accumulative pensions for Nizhny Novgorod residents will increase by 17.3% this summer. This was reported by the Social Fund of Russia. This figure is calculated based on the results of pension fund investments: the yield for the past year more than tripled the inflation rate, which was 5.6%. The recalculation will be conducted automatically starting from August 1. There is no need to submit applications. The increase will affect about 136,000 people. Changes will also concern participants in the co-financing program, as well as parents who directed maternity capital towards future pensions. Additionally, those who formed savings independently outside the program will receive an increase. For these categories, the growth will be higher—by 19.3%. According to preliminary estimates, this is about 37,300 people. A total of 8.5 billion rubles will be allocated for the recalculation of payments. Most Russians receive accumulative payments along with their old-age insurance pension. Currently, the average amount of the accumulative pension is approximately 1,600 rubles per month. The average urgent payment for those who voluntarily formed savings is about 3,000 rubles.
