"Too bad for the car": Nizhny Novgorod residents ask to repair the road to Shchelkovo farmstead

      On May 21, 2026, at 14:27 Society Nizhny Novgorod residents are dissatisfied with the quality of the dirt road leading to the Shchelkovo farmstead. They recorded a video and sent it to the editorial office of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." Ditches and potholes not only damage cars but also diminish the desire to relax in the nature reserve that was renovated in 2023.

      This is a favorite spot for many Nizhny Novgorod residents. Everything is very well done there for recreation - a beach, sidewalks. We often come here in winter, summer, spring, and autumn. And all of this is pleasing to the eye. But the only thing that creates inconvenience is the road, the residents noted.

      According to them, in spring and autumn, it is simply impossible to drive here because all the potholes are filled with water. Meanwhile, during warm weather, stones and dust fly off the road from vehicle traffic.

      It's okay that we damage our car, but the real problem is that it's very difficult for people to walk here - the dust rises. And it's a pity for the car, the residents say.

      Nizhny Novgorod residents suggest that if asphalt cannot be laid, at least the roadway should be leveled with a grader.

      The work started well, but it turned out unfinished. If there are people who can do something, please finish it, and then there will be more people willing to visit the Shchelkovo farmstead, and everyone will be grateful, the residents appealed.
