The second stage of the reconstruction of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station is estimated at 20 billion rubles.

The work will cost nearly 20 billion rubles, reported NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" at JSC "OKO". The competition took place in April 2026. Two companies submitted applications, and the winner was LLC "SoyuzDonStroy". A contract with them was signed on May 12. The construction and installation work is planned to be completed by the end of 2029. The initial contract value is 19.98 billion rubles. The final amount may change after the state expert review of the estimate documentation. Recall that the first phase of the station's reconstruction was completed in December 2025. The work was carried out by the Federal Autonomous Institution "RosKapStroy". As part of the federal project "Health of the Volga", 50 structures were modernized or newly built at the site. Currently, the commissioning of biological processes under load is ongoing, and comments from RosStroyControl and the customer are being addressed. In April 2026, JSC "OKO" announced its intention to unilaterally terminate the contract with the Federal Autonomous Institution "RosKapStroy". In addition, the company filed a lawsuit demanding the contractor pay about 3.4 billion rubles. For its part, "RosKapStroy" attempted to challenge the actions of the customer and the corresponding non-normative act. However, the court refused to accept the precautionary measures that could have suspended the procurement for the second phase of modernization. The complete modernization of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station is expected to be finished by 2030.
