A former employee of the GUAD was sentenced to 4 years for bribery.

      April 15, 2026 09:34 Incidents Former chief specialist of the department for the control of repair and maintenance of roads of the State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD" Roman Vlasov was convicted of accepting a bribe. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.

      Recall that the former employee of GUAD was detained in January 2025. As established by the court, from 2020 to 2022, while being an official, he received large sums of money from the director of a commercial organization. The reward was given for the acceptance of work under state contracts without actual verification — essentially for the formal performance of technical supervision and control functions.

      Initially, the accused was charged with two episodes under part 3 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (accepting a bribe in the form of money by an official personally and through an intermediary for illegal actions and inaction in favor of the bribe giver, in a significant amount) and three episodes under point "b" part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (accepting a bribe in the form of money by an official through an intermediary for illegal actions and inaction in favor of the bribe giver, in a large amount). Ultimately, the court classified his actions as a single crime, as provided for in point "b" part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

      The court noted that when determining the sentence, mitigating circumstances were taken into account: admission of guilt, remorse, the presence of a minor child, and health condition. As a result, the Gorodetsky City Court sentenced the defendant to 4 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime correctional colony.

      In addition, Vlasov is prohibited from holding positions related to organizational and administrative powers in state authorities and local self-government for 5 years. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.

      Earlier it was reported that former head of the urban development management of the regional Ministry of Construction, Anastasia Ivanova, was sentenced to 4 years for accepting a bribe.
