A Nizhny Novgorod resident will be sentenced for registering three legal entities through a front person.

The materials with the approved indictment have already been submitted to the court, reported the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region. It has been established that in 2024, a 36-year-old local resident offered an unfamiliar man to register several companies in his name. For this service, he promised 5,000 rubles. According to the investigation, the person he approached led an asocial lifestyle. He was asked for his passport, after which the accused prepared the necessary documents and registered three legal entities. A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph "b" of part 2 of article 173.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — illegal formation of a legal entity or state registration of an individual as an individual entrepreneur. The 38-year-old subject refused to testify about the motives for his actions. The sanctions of the article provide for a fine of 300,000 to 500,000 rubles or an amount equal to income for a period of one to three years. Mandatory work from 180 to 240 hours, forced labor for up to five years, or imprisonment for the same period are also possible. The police reminded that the use of someone else's documents for company registration, as well as the transfer of one's own data for illegal actions, is considered a criminal offense.
