This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Department of Construction and Capital Repairs. It is worth noting that the remains of the historical arch were discovered in 2024 during excavation work on Sovetskaya Street. The structure was built according to the design of architect Shekhtel for the visit of Emperor Nicholas II in 1896. The competition for the restoration of the arch was announced twice. During the first procedure, no applications were submitted. In the summer of 2025, the Municipal State Institution "GlavUKS Nizhny Novgorod" signed a municipal contract with JSC "TSNRU". According to the project, the contractor is to carry out engineering surveys and create an exhibition space in the area of houses 20, 22 on Sovetskaya Street in the Kanavinsky District along with the restoration of the Triumphal Arch. Currently, the contracting organization is conducting a comprehensive project and survey work necessary for the implementation of the project. The main volume of work is expected to be completed this year. A total of 314.8 million rubles has been allocated for the project.
