As reported by NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" in the regional Ministry of Health, as of April 13, all patients in the infectious diseases department of the Uren Central District Hospital are preparing to transition to outpatient treatment. At the same time, preventive vaccination against hepatitis A is being conducted in the district. Recall that the first cases of intestinal infection were recorded on the evening of April 5 — at that time, residents began to seek medical help with symptoms of poisoning. In the first days, 54 people sought medical attention, and six had to be hospitalized. The cause of the illness was norovirus. It was found that all the infected had consumed tap water. According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor, a total of 70 cases of infection have been registered in the Uren district. However, there have been no new reports in the last two days.
