The library in the Bugrov House is planned to be renovated for 4.45 million rubles.

      On April 13, 2026, at 14:49 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, 4.45 million rubles have been allocated for the renovation of the interior spaces of the library located on the first floor of the cultural heritage site "House of N.A. Bugrova." This was reported on the state procurement website.

      The procurement was announced by the Municipal Budgetary Institution of Additional Education "Art School No. 1." The initial contract price is 4.4 million rubles. Applications are accepted until April 20, and the results will be announced on April 22. The contractor must complete the renovation from May 25 to July 15, 2026.

      The building, constructed in 1888-1889, is located on the Lower Volga Embankment. According to the documentation, numerous defects have been identified in the premises. These include unevenness and delamination of the finishing layers of the interior walls, cracks, and chips.

      Damage to wooden elements has also been recorded: deformations, losses, and cracking of the cladding, wear of the varnish coating, chips, and curvature of the balusters of the mezzanine railing. Cracks and varying sizes of columns, deviations from verticality, damage to the railings and steps of the staircase, as well as deformations of the railing base and baseboards have been noted.

      Before starting work, the contractor must obtain written permission from the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
