The former inspector of the Nizhny Novgorod ATI received a fine of 2 million rubles for corruption.

      April 9, 2026 13:18 Incidents The court has issued a verdict against a former employee of the administrative and technical inspection of Nizhny Novgorod in a case concerning the receipt of large bribes. This was reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

      The investigation established that from 2020 to 2024, the inspector of the permits issuance department accepted applications and documents from citizens for conducting earthworks and repair work, even if the package was incomplete.

      After that, she informed the applicants about the missing documents or identified deficiencies, although according to the rules she should have immediately denied the service. For money, the inspector expedited the consideration of applications and issued permits. In this way, she managed to receive more than 480 thousand rubles.

      The violations were revealed by the employees of the Investigative Committee in cooperation with the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The court imposed a fine of 2 million 50 thousand rubles on the woman.

      It was previously reported that a former official from Zavolzhye received a suspended sentence for contract fraud.
