Nizhny Novgorod farmers received subsidies of 43 million rubles in 2025.

      In 2025, agricultural consumer cooperatives of the Nizhny Novgorod Region received subsidies totaling 43.4 million rubles.

      Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, emphasized the importance of the subsidy program: "Thanks to support for agricultural cooperation, we are strengthening the foundations of rural areas, reducing dependence on imports, creating jobs and preserving the cultural values of the village." Since the program began in 2021, a total of 52 organizations have used it, receiving 173 million rubles.

      The subsidies received are used by the cooperatives to cover expenses for purchasing necessary equipment. This year, purchases included a grain combine harvester, cultivators, ploughs, tractors, grain-cleaning equipment, feed preparation machinery and other equipment.

      Reimbursement of part of the costs helps reduce expenses, which is especially important when modernizing the technical base.

      There are currently more than 60 agricultural consumer cooperatives in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, more than half of which are engaged in procurement activities. Their main activities include the procurement and sale of dairy products, pasteurization and packaging of milk, processing of agricultural products (milk, meat, vegetables), as well as the production and sale of honey.

      It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod farmers brought more than 8,000 hectares of fallow land back into cultivation in 2025.
