Wage growth in the Nizhny Novgorod region reached 124% over five years.

      The average wage level in the Nizhny Novgorod region increased by 124% over the past five years. This is evidenced by the ranking data prepared by the analytical center of RIA Novosti.

      In terms of wage growth, the region ranked among the top five federal subjects of Russia. Higher figures were recorded only in Tatarstan, where growth was 134%, Kurgan Oblast — 130%, and Udmurtia — 128%.

      Chelyabinsk Oblast took fifth place in the ranking. There the average wage rose by 123%.

      Across the country as a whole, over the five-year period the average income of Russians doubled. According to the study, in October 2025 it reached 99.7 thousand rubles.

      Earlier it became known how much wages for residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region increased in 2025. Analysts also shared data on those Nizhny Novgorod residents who are once again expected to see wage increases in 2026.
