No ban was imposed on photography for personal purposes in Nizhny Novgorod's Park named after May 1. Residents of Nizhny Novgorod and tourists can freely take photos and videos on mobile phones and amateur cameras without needing to obtain permission.
However, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" was told by MAUK "Directorate of Parks and Squares of Nizhny Novgorod" that the use of professional equipment requires prior approval. This rule applies to filming for the media, commercial projects, or other types of professional activity. These measures are necessary so as not to disturb other visitors and to ensure the preservation of park infrastructure.
Today, the media reported that a Nizhny Novgorod resident was forbidden to film in the Park named after May 1 without a special permit. He was photographing birds with two cameras.
The directorate clarified that the visitor did indeed have professional equipment, and he was only notified of the need to obtain approval for the shoot. At the same time, the man was not prohibited from being in the park or from continuing his walk.
Similar rules also apply in Switzerland Park.
Earlier it was reported that an ice slide with a nine-meter descent opened in the Park named after May 1.
