Epiphany frosts are coming to Nizhny Novgorod.

      Residents of Nizhny Novgorod are in for real Epiphany frosts at the end of the week. According to the Yandex Weather service, air temperatures may drop to -19 degrees.

      Already on Friday, January 16, daytime temperatures will be around -13 degrees, and at night it will cool down to -17.

      On Saturday and Sunday, on the eve of Epiphany, particularly frosty days are expected in Nizhny Novgorod. Daytime temperatures will be about -14, and at night temperatures will fall to -18…-19 degrees. No precipitation is expected on those days.

      On Epiphany itself, January 19, forecasters predict a slight warming. Around -12 during the day and about -17 at night.

      It was previously reported that snowfalls will return to Nizhny Novgorod during the first working week, with colder weather approaching toward the weekend.

      It should be added that last year there were no frosts in the Volga region’s capital on Epiphany — air temperatures reached 0…+1 degrees.
