      In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, it has become possible to make an appointment with a doctor through the MAX messenger. A special chat-bot was created by the region’s Ministry of Health. With its help, residents can book appointments with doctors at their place of attachment if there are available slots.

      “You can make an appointment with a specialist using the chat-bot at any time, 24/7. During the booking the bot will ask you all the necessary questions and guide you through the booking process step by step. Patients will be shown available ‘windows’ in the doctors’ schedules,” explained Tatiana Antokhova, Director of the Medical Information and Analytical Center.

      The new booking process is simple and includes six steps:

      1. Launch the chat-bot and confirm consent to the use and processing of personal data.

      2. Select the service “Make an appointment with a doctor.”

      3. Enter the patient’s surname, first name and patronymic, as well as date of birth.

      4. Select the doctor’s specialty.

      5. Confirm the medical organization.

      6. Choose a convenient available time and confirm the appointment.

      “Launching the chat-bot in the national messenger MAX will allow patients to contact specialists faster, undergo necessary examinations in a timely manner and consult with doctors, saving their time,” the ministry said.

      To launch the chat-bot, simply follow the link https://max.ru/nnov_minzdrav_bot or scan the special QR code.

      Traditional ways of making appointments with doctors remain. Patients can always contact call centers and registration desks at polyclinics, as well as use the regional patient portal and the Gosuslugi portal.
