Another humanitarian convoy, formed with the support of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, has been sent to the area of the special military operation. The cargo included vehicles and more than 40 tons of essential items collected in response to requests from servicemen.
Taking part in the dispatch were the region’s deputy governor Andrey Gneushev, Minister of Social Policy Igor Sedykh, head of the House of National Unity Roman Koshelev, as well as fighters from the "BARS" grouping and the 96th Separate Nizhny Novgorod Reconnaissance Brigade.
"We strive to respond to the specific requests of the fighters. This time we delivered vehicles, which are in extremely high demand at the front, as well as uniforms, communications equipment and household supplies. The servicemen themselves came to pick up the vehicles, and we had the opportunity to discuss important issues with them. Through them we conveyed New Year greetings to all Nizhny Novgorod residents at the front. The guys are in fighting spirits — that’s the main thing. We are proud of our defenders," Andrey Gneushev said.
As part of the same initiative, staff of the NRU Presidential Academy sent a Mavic 3T quadcopter to the area of the special military operation. It was purchased specifically at the request of one of the university’s employees who was mobilized in 2022.
"Our colleague told us about the needs of his unit, and the faculty and rank-and-file staff responded. Thanks to the support of the House of National Unity we were able to purchase a drone of the required modification. We hope it will help save lives — both of our employee and his comrades. We are waiting for him to come home with victory," said institute director Ekaterina Lebedeva.
Since the beginning of 2025 the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management has already sent more than 12 tons of humanitarian aid to residents of the new territories. The joint shipment from the regional government and the university will be delivered to 16 military units located in the DPR, LPR and Kherson region, as well as to a frontline hospital. Deliveries are planned to be completed before the New Year.
The Nizhny Novgorod region continues to provide systematic support to participants in the special military operation. To date, more than 770 humanitarian convoys have been sent to the combat zone. The total volume of aid has exceeded 4,850 tons. More than 310 units of transport have also been delivered. All supplies are assembled based on requests from military units — 3,440 requests have already been processed.
