Immunoglobulin production will be launched in the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2026.

      A modern production facility for anti-Rh immunoglobulin, prothrombin complex concentrate, albumin and other products will be launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region. These agents are used for severe wounds, including barotrauma and blast injuries.

      Pavel Yastrebov, CEO of Nizhny Novgorod Regional Pharmacy, said the project gained access to next-generation technologies thanks to agreements with foreign partners. The manufacturing process will be based on liquid chromatography methods, which will ensure a high degree of purification and the effectiveness of the drugs.

      The plant is scheduled to be launched in 2026. After commissioning, a phase of technological setup, process validation, expert reviews and obtaining the necessary approvals will begin.

      The project provides for the creation of a pilot facility for the production of small batches of products, followed by scaling up to the main production line. In the future the enterprise will be able to produce not only the four key drugs but also expand the range with new developments, including adhesive formulations from blood components that are in demand for treating wounds.

      Various models for implementing the project are being considered, including participation by a foreign investor or the creation of a joint venture with a Russian partner.

      It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod region entered the top 10 regions with the highest level of medication provision in the country.
