GITIS master Musakhanyants became deputy director of the Nizhny Novgorod Opera Theatre.

      A graduate of GITIS's postgraduate program and the artistic director of the course at the producing faculty, Eduard Musakhanyants, has become deputy director of the A.S. Pushkin Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theatre. This was reported by GITIS representatives on social media.

      At the same time, the director of the Nizhny Novgorod opera still remains Ayrat Tukhvatullin, who in December became head of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

      Colleagues speak very highly of Eduard Musakhanyants. They call him a consummate professional and almost the best producer in Russia.

      Musakhanyants is also an associate of Helikon-Opera founder Dmitry Bertman. He led new dramatic and musical programs at the theatre for ten years.

      It should be added that on December 25 some media reported that Musakhanyants had been appointed director of the theatre in Nizhny. However, the editors of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" say that neither the Ministry of Culture nor the theatre itself have commented on this so far.
