      A decree has been adopted in the Nizhny Novgorod Region expanding measures of material incentives for state civil servants. The document, published on the legal acts portal, amends the current Regulations on the Remuneration of Officials.

      Under the new rules, employees holding civil service positions will be eligible for a cash bonus if they report an attempted inducement to commit a corruption offense. Such a fact must be confirmed in the prescribed manner.

      The incentive will amount to 50% of the employee's monthly monetary remuneration. Payment will be made by decision of the governor at the expense of funds provided for in the budget estimate for the maintenance of the administrative apparatus of the relevant executive authority.

      The decree comes into force on January 1, 2026.

      Earlier, the former mayor of Nizhny Novgorod and current State Duma deputy Vadim Bulavinov commented on cases of corruption among Nizhny Novgorod officials.
