      "The tooth has preserved details by which its former nature can easily be determined: an elongated, slightly curved profile, longitudinal ridges characteristic of prehistoric predators," the seller said.

      The editorial office of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" sought an expert opinion from Yuri Filippov, general director of the Nizhny Novgorod State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve (NGIAMZ). He reviewed the photos in the listing and concluded:

      "The item is identified as a tooth, however its status as a fossil and its species attribution can only be established by physical examination. As for potential value, as is known, anything can be listed at any price — the whole question is the buyer."

      Recall that in August 2025 archaeologists found the molar of a young woolly mammoth in the Pochainsky Ravine.
