The "Taste of Care" campaign took place in the Nizhny Novgorod region on the eve of Mother's Day.
28 November 2025 15:23 Society The traditional "Taste of Care" campaign (0+) is taking place on the eve of Mother's Day. A total of 36 events are planned in Nizhny Novgorod and the region's municipalities. As part of the campaign, mothers bake pies with their children, donate them to military hospitals, or hold tea parties for the families of participants in the special military operation.
In Dzerzhinsk, a culinary master class was held with the support of the local branch of the party. Activists of the "Women's Movement of United Russia" took part with their children and grandchildren.
"For children such events are an opportunity to acquire new skills and unique experience. For mothers and grandmothers — it's a chance to go out into public, which during the weekdays happens very rarely. But the main result is the strengthening of family ties, live communication between generations," said Victoria Nikolaeva, chairwoman of the Dzerzhinsk City Duma.
Under the guidance of professional chefs, young and adult cooks learned how to roll out dough correctly, prepare fillings and neatly fold pies.
"It was my first time baking pies with my mother. Working with the dough turned out to be not easy, but with my mother's support and advice everything worked out. Without her I definitely wouldn't have managed," shared young participant Maxim Antonov.
At the end of the master class, mothers and children tried their creations together and evaluated the result of their joint creativity.
"We rarely cook with my daughter, and this event was a great opportunity to do something together. My daughter is delighted; she likes this kind of creative process, and it gives me double pleasure that we managed to spend time together so usefully and fun. The pies turned out really tasty, because we put our love and warmth into them," said participant Anna Tokareva.
All guests of the master class received commemorative gifts from the United Russia party.
Also ahead of the holiday, at the Public Support Headquarters there was a meeting of mothers of demobilized participants of the special military operation with representatives of social services and the regional public reception office of D.A. Medvedev. The participants discussed pressing issues with the specialists.
The event concluded with a concert program prepared for them by young Nizhny Novgorod artists.
"You did not just wait — you believed, supported and preserved in your families what is so important for the whole country: strength of spirit and hope. Each of you set an example of what it means to be a support for your sons and your home. We are proud of you and will do everything so that you feel supported not only on holidays, but every day," emphasized Natalya Smotrakova, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The "Taste of Care" campaign was also joined in the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. The event's participants were mothers of fighters in the special military operation. They baked pies and brought them to the tea party. The participants were congratulated on Mother's Day by the secretary of the local party branch, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yuri Balashov.
"We talked about various things: about daily life, about children, about hopes. There were no loud words or pomposity in these conversations, only sincerity and understanding of what it is all for. And as long as we are together, as long as we remember those who are on the front line, and support those waiting for them here — we will succeed," noted district coordinator of the party project "Women's Movement of United Russia" Vladislava Yeremina.
Recall that support for participants of the special military operation and their family members is a top priority of the United Russia party's national program.
