Mikhail Bystryakov has been appointed Minister of Information Policy of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, appointed Mikhail Bystryakov as the minister of information policy and media relations of the region. According to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod", he assumed his duties on November 25.
Bystryakov is an honors graduate of the Faculty of International Relations of NNSU. He has worked for almost 18 years in the field of socio-political and corporate communications. He served as the press secretary to the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, held various positions in the regional government, and, as a media manager, led communications for election campaigns at the federal, regional and local levels.
From 2018 to 2025 he worked in the capital: he was head of the corporate communications department at JSC "StroyTransNefteGaz", and managed media projects within the activities of the Central Executive Committee of United Russia and the Directorate for Public Projects of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod minister was the communications director for the presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities."
In October 2025 Bystryakov was made acting minister of information policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The post had previously been held by Polina Buyanova.
The minister has received various honorary certificates and letters of appreciation, including from the President of the Russian Federation.
It should also be noted that Bystryakov is married.
