A woman from Nizhny Novgorod struck by a foreign-made car died in hospital.

      A woman died as a result of a terrible traffic accident in the Moskovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, which occurred at 4:40 on 28 November.

      According to the road safety promotion unit of the traffic police division (OGIBDD) of the city’s Ministry of Internal Affairs directorate, a 21-year-old driver behind the wheel of a Kia Rio ran over a woman who was crossing the road at a red light. The victim (appearing to be about 40 years old) was hospitalized at the 13th hospital in Avtozavod. She soon died there.

      Recall that on 26 November a traffic accident occurred in Vyksa in which an 11-year-old boy died. The police have opened a criminal case. The progress of the investigation is being monitored by the prosecutor’s office.
