The Tonus MAMA High Reproductive Technologies Clinic in Nizhny Novgorod has reopened its doors to patients after a major modernization. As part of a rebranding, the facility not only refreshed its interior but also substantially strengthened its technical and staffing base.
Olga Mikhaleva, general director of the Tonus medical clinic network, noted that the clinic has come a long way in 12 years of operation, and now it is time for a new stage. The renovation began with creating a modern and comfortable environment — from the waiting area to wards and treatment rooms. According to her, a contemporary interior and attention to detail create a sense of trust and safety for the patient from the first minutes spent at the center.
"Over the years of the clinic’s existence, about 4,000 new lives have been born. Now we are giving it a new lease on life. We want to continue improving our work and increasing the country’s birth rate," the general director added.
Of course, the changes affected not only the outward appearance. The clinic installed a new range of equipment, which has increased the efficiency of assisted reproductive technologies. The medical team was also strengthened: young specialists have joined the staff, and cooperation with the Institute for Demographic Development has become closer.
During a tour of the renovated clinic, new equipment was demonstrated, including a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine and the center’s key unit — the embryology unit. It houses the most expensive and high-tech equipment, which enables achieving maximum results in IVF and other ART methods.
Special attention was paid to patient comfort: bright consultation rooms, cozy wards and a well-thought-through route through all stages of treatment create a favorable atmosphere and reduce stress. The team of embryologists takes an individualized approach to each couple.
Chief Physician Igor Martynov emphasized that the renovation is important not only for patients but also for medical staff. He noted that doctors and nurses are in constant contact with patients and bear responsibility for the outcome, so the clinic strives to use the most modern methods learned at Russian and international conferences and to employ advanced equipment.
As part of supporting the state’s demographic policy, the clinic allocated 1 million rubles to provide 100 free reproductive check-ups. The examinations include an anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) test, pelvic ultrasound and a consultation with a reproductive specialist. Under the cooperation with the Institute for Demographic Development, these vouchers will be sent to women’s clinics in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
"We want not only to perform IVF procedures, but also to promote the need to consult specialists as early as possible and determine one’s reproductive status. The earlier this happens, the greater the chances of helping couples become parents and experience the joy of motherhood," Olga Mikhaleva stressed.
