The upgraded double-decker train "Burevestnik" passed its final inspection before the start of regular services between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. A pre-launch test run of the trainset was carried out together with TVZ specialists, the press service of Russian Railways reported.
During the trials they checked not only the train's running gear but all engineering systems — from electronics to climate control. The train crew separately tested life-support systems to ensure that everything works as it should and that the train is fully ready to receive passengers.
"Burevestnik" departed from Moscow's Yaroslavsky Station at exactly 10:05 and arrived in Nizhny Novgorod on schedule. All systems operated without faults.
Recall, the first service will depart on December 3. From December 4 "Burevestnik" will switch to a regular schedule — three round trips per day. The trainset consists of ten double-decker cars, including seated cars, a compartment staff car, an SV (sleeper) car and a bistro car. The train's maximum capacity exceeds 730 passengers per trip.
It was previously reported that ticket prices for the train will start from 2,096 rubles.
