Two new feldsher-midwife stations (FAPs) have opened in the Varnavinsky district — in the settlement of Krasny Luch and the village of Novonikolskoe. According to the regional Ministry of Health, the construction and equipping of the FAPs were carried out as part of the national project "Longer and Active Life." The total amount of funding exceeded 22 million rubles.
The modular buildings are equipped with everything necessary to provide comprehensive primary health care. Patients can undergo examinations, have an electrocardiogram, submit laboratory tests, and receive specialist consultations. Each feldsher-midwife station is equipped with a computer with Internet access and a connection to the Unified Digital Platform (UDP), which allows quick receipt of test results and specialists’ conclusions from the Varnavinskaya Central District Hospital without the need to travel to the district center.
Representatives of the district administration, medical staff and local residents attended the opening of the new medical facilities.
"The opening of modern FAPs in small and remote settlements from the district center is a practical implementation of the objective to improve access to medical care. Residents gain the opportunity to undergo diagnostics and receive consultations in comfortable conditions. For the medical staff themselves, working conditions also improve: working in attractive, modern, well-equipped premises undoubtedly has a positive effect on the quality of all services provided," said Alexander Frolov, head of the Varnavinsky municipal district.
The FAP in the settlement of Krasny Luch will serve more than 130 people, and the FAP in the village of Novonikolskoe — more than 140 residents from seven settlements. Each medical facility has been assigned a "Health Service" vehicle received under the primary healthcare modernization program.
"Equipping the feldsher-midwife stations with modern equipment and integrating them into a single information space allows medical care to be provided at a new level. This is especially important for prompt diagnostics and management of chronic diseases," emphasized Lyudmila Bystrova, acting chief physician of the Varnavinskaya Central District Hospital.
Recall that the national project "Longer and Active Life" has been implemented in the country since 2025 at the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It carries out tasks previously set out in the national project "Healthcare." The new national project is aimed at the expected increase in life expectancy by 2030 and envisages further renovation of polyclinics, outpatient clinics and feldsher-midwife stations; attracting an increasing number of qualified medical personnel to medical institutions; applying new approaches in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases; improving emergency medical care and the rehabilitation system; developing a network of national research centers; and digitalizing the sector.
