Gorky volleyball players suffered their third consecutive defeat.

In the fourth round of the Russian Volleyball Superleague, Nizhny Novgorod's Gorky lost away to Fakel from Novy Urengoy — 0:3 (26:24, 25:19, 25:18).
The first set began as an even contest, but the hosts then pulled ahead thanks to successful serves and effective attacking play. Although Gorky was able to turn the tide of the set, the finish belonged to Fakel. In the second set the Novy Urengoy side immediately seized the initiative, and the Nizhny Novgorod team could not get back into the match. The third set followed a similar scenario.
This match was Gorky's third consecutive defeat in the championship. Pavel Zheleznyakov was the top scorer for the visitors — the opposite hitter collected 17 points.
On November 8 the Nizhny Novgorod team will host St. Petersburg's Zenit at home (6+).
