Cladding the facade of the Dynamo swimming pool will cost 15 million rubles.

      The building of the former "Dynamo" swimming pool in the center of Nizhny Novgorod continues to be transformed. Information has appeared on the public procurement portal that a contractor has been selected to carry out the finishing of part of the facade of the "Gorod Gorky" sports complex at 67 Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street.

      The work will include the installation of elements made of composite material. The customer is the regional enterprise "Leaders of Sport." The contract cost amounted to 15 million rubles, and all work is planned to be completed by January 31, 2026.

      Recall that the "Dynamo" pool building was constructed back in 1936. Since the 1990s it has not been used for its intended purpose and stood empty for a long time. In 2025, 137 million rubles were allocated for the facility's major repairs.

      Reconstruction is already in full swing. Earlier the building's roof was renovated. New windows were also installed, and the structure around the perimeter of the former pool basin was reinforced. In February it became known that workers were installing vertical columns and formwork for the walls and the second floor. Delivery of sports equipment has also begun.

      After completion of all work, the building is planned to open halls for wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, as well as a fitness center. The project was designed by Nizhny Novgorod architect Vladimir Mironov; he also developed the design for the boxing center in Gorodets.

      It was previously reported that the major renovation of Nizhny Novgorod's "Dynamo" stadium was 71% complete.
