Marina Piskunova, head of the Department of General Chemistry at the Privolzhsky Research Medical University, has died at the age of 51 after a prolonged illness, the university's website reported.
Colleagues noted that Marina Sergeyevna was not only a professional in her field but also a person of kindness, energy and a sincere love of life. She remained a reliable support and an example of devotion to her profession.
The date and place of the farewell will be announced later.
"I took an analytical chemistry exam with her; right in front of her eyes all my cheat sheets fell out, but Marina Sergeyevna forgave me," recalled medical blogger Alexey Nikonov on his Telegram channel.
