The first visitor center for tourists will open in the Nizhny Novgorod Volga Region National Park.

      The prospects for the development of the Vladimir Lebedev National Park "Nizhegorodskoye Povolzhye" were the subject of discussion at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region's Committee on Ecology and Nature Management.

      As the chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Evgeny Lyulin, wrote on his Telegram channel, agreements have already been concluded with hunting enterprises and lessees of plots within the park's territory.

      Patrols operate daily to maintain order in the natural areas. Specialized equipment has also been purchased for maintaining the landscapes and infrastructure.

      According to Lyulin, this has already yielded tangible results: cars and barbecue grills no longer stand on the shores of the lakes, and the forest stands have been cleared of rubbish. The park's territory is gradually taking on a well-kept and civilized appearance.

      Work is underway in all five clusters that make up the national park. Each of them is a unique natural zone with a special protection regime.

      By November 30, it is planned to open the first visitor center in the Ichalkovsky Bor area. It will be equipped with parking facilities, sports grounds, and the necessary elements of tourist infrastructure.

      As the speaker of the Legislative Assembly emphasized, this is only the beginning of large-scale work. New tourist routes are already being developed, recreation areas are being arranged, and conditions are being created for eco-tourism. Lyulin expressed confidence that "Nizhegorodskoye Povolzhye" will soon become one of the region's main natural attractions, combining careful treatment of the environment with comfort for visitors.

      It was previously reported that the first natural national park in the Nizhny Novgorod Region will cover an area of 75,000 hectares.
