Zavolzhsky "Teplovodokanal" has joined the federal project "Labor Productivity"

      Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Teplovodokanal" from the city of Zavolzhye has become the 299th participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." Experts from the regional competence center (RCC) will implement lean manufacturing tools at the enterprise.

      The company carries out a wide range of activities: heat supply, water supply, wastewater disposal, operation and repair of engineering networks, construction and installation work, laboratory testing of water quality, as well as storage and dispensing of fuel.

      "Teplovodokanal" became the third utility company in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast to join the federal project "Labor Productivity." Improving efficiency in the housing and utilities sector is directly related to the reliability and quality of services provided, on which residents' living conditions and comfort depend. The implementation of lean manufacturing tools will make it possible to optimize the enterprise’s internal processes and increase the stability of operations without significant additional costs," said Maksim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

      For six months specialists from the regional competence center will support the enterprise’s work: they will analyze processes, identify a pilot process and key problem areas. At the same time, employees of the enterprise will be trained in the basics of lean production.

From 2019 to 2024 this support measure was implemented under the national project "Labor Productivity," and from 2025 — under the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."       The national project "Effective and Competitive Economy," initiated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, is the main tool for forming a new growth model.
