A mobilization reserve called "BARS-NN" is being formed in the Nizhny Novgorod region to enhance security in the region. A hotline for those wishing to sign a contract and join the ranks of reservists has been opened at 8-800-10-17-017 for recruitment questions. The call center operates on the basis of the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, the Mobilized and Their Families of the House of National Unity.

In the first days of operation, the hotline received more than 50 inquiries. 18 people expressed a desire to sign a contract.

"Most questions are related to the monetary allowance for reservists and the existing age restrictions. Residents of other regions of Russia are asking whether they can join 'BARS-NN'. Women are also calling to express a desire to sign a contract. It should be noted that in the Nizhny Novgorod region only residents of our region and the Ivanovo region can join the ranks of reservists. Women can sign a contract to serve in the mobilization reserve if they have a medical education and meet the other requirements," said Tatyana Druzhinina, head of the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, the Mobilized and Their Families.

The difference with a contract with "BARS-NN" is that reservists serve only in the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region; deployment to the area of the special military operation is excluded. While part of the mobilization reserve, territorial defenders continue their employment at their primary place of work and combine it with military training and drills.

During drills — for 30 days a year — reservists keep their workplace and their average salary. In addition, participation in military drills under a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation provides monetary compensation: officers – from 43,701 to 56,599 rubles, sergeants – from 27,944 to 34,391 rubles, privates – from 21,496 to 29,376 rubles.

For the duration of the contract, reservists receive uniforms, modern equipment and monthly payments (except during drill periods): officers – from 5,244 to 6,792 rubles, sergeants – from 3,353 to 4,127 rubles, privates – from 2,580 to 3,525 rubles.

Those eligible to join the mobilization reserve "BARS-NN" are residents of the Nizhny Novgorod and Ivanovo regions who are fit for military service or fit with minor limitations, have no criminal record and are not under investigation. Age limits apply depending on military rank: for privates, sergeants and warrant officers – up to 52 years; for junior officers – up to 57 years; for senior officers – up to 62 years.

To conclude a contract, it is necessary to submit an application to the military commissariat at the place of registration, provide a package of documents and pass selection.

Detailed information is available on the Telegram channel https://t.me/bars_nobl, on the website https://bars-nn.nobl.ru, and by phone at 8-800-10-17-017. The hotline operates daily from 9:00 to 20:00; after the end of the working day the call center accepts calls in automated mode.

Earlier it was reported that residents of Nizhny Novgorod can join an elite unit of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
